What happens on  these days?

Pony Days – Our popular Pony Day features two riding sessions: an improvers lesson and a mounted pony games session. There is hands on pony fun, grooming and horse care, and all riders will take home a special rosette.  We are happy to take beginners to experienced riders. There will be breaks each day, and time for attendees to eat a packed lunch (provided by attendees), there are 20 spaces, all hire equipment is included within the price of the course – we take children from 8 years old.

4 Day Horse Ownership Camp – independent riders only to canter level – ever wanted to own a pony? not 100% sure of what is involved? Over the four days riders will take full care of horses assigned to them, from mucking out, exercising, poo picking, feeding etc. There will be daily hacking, and a school lesson (with a focus on helping your horse improve – this may be helping him to learn something, or helping his body stay supple and responsive), as horse owners we are always improving and developing our horses, this is a huge focus of horse ownership. Throughout the week learning modules on feeding, horse passports, legal responsibilities or owners, shoeing and foot care, health, and basic wound care will be covered. There are limited places to this camp.

Half-Day Pony Camps – these half day camps are run for both idependent riders and for beginners. These camps take place over three afternoons, attendees will ride each day, focussing on progressing skills and confidence in the saddle. Riders will have the opportunity for a mini hack, flatwork sessions, and a mounted games session.  There will also be a daily learning module to support as much practical hands-on time with the horses as possible – such has tail washing, plaiting, grooming – each rider will receive a rosette. There are only 15 spaces, all hire equipment is included within the price of the cours

All Camps & Pony Days require a home made packed lunch –we ask you not to bring nuts or products containing nuts to site at any time to protect those with allergies. Hire equipment is included in the price for all Pony Camps and Pony Days.
