Rein & Shine Pony Days – Great Day Out for the Kids

Each day will start at 9.30am and end at 3pm

Included will be:

Grooming and horse care

A full length group riding lesson in the morning

Stable routines with the ponies

Riding games in the afternoonriding club wiltshire at rein and shine


Ample time will be provided for breaks and lunch. This is a perfect way to spend a day for those who are horse mad! The Pony Day caters for beginners and experienced riders, we will group our riders by ability for riding to allow each level of rider to get as much out of the day as possible.

Scheduleriding lessons at rein and shine

09.30 – Arrival – bag drop, sign in and complete H&S forms (if not previously completed)

09.45 – Assigned to the ponies, essential safety briefing, pony preparation for riding

10.00 – Morning lessons for half the group / other half will take part in grooming and pony preparation for riding.

11.00 – Pony de-prep and grooming for those who have ridden, whilst the second group enjoy a riding lesson.

12.00 – Horse care and stable management for all riders / this often includes quizzes and mini competitions (such as bridle building or the fastest head collar on a pony!)

12.30 – Lunch break (parents to provide a packed lunch)

13.00 – Riding games in the arena

14.00 – Horse care routines such as tack maintenance, skipping out your pony and feeding him.

15.00 – Home time

If you do need a late collection this is charged at £10 per hour.

The price for the day is £68 per child. Contact us now to make a booking. Bookings being taken now so book early to avoid disappointment.


Children should arrive with:

A packed lunch

Riding hat and boots ( hire is included in the Pony Day price)

Body protector – not mandatory (can be hired from us)

Jodhpurs or long comfortable trousers


Appropriate clothing for the weather

Long hair must be tied back with no grips or clips

No jewellery
