Aimed at anyone wanting to formalise their horse skills and knowledge to a demonstrable level of qualification (BHS Stage 1 equivalent).
This course runs for up to 8 sessions of 2 hours per session and costs £825 for the course payable in advance.
Riders and / or owners must be able to walk, trot and canter independently and have a good degree of basic horse care knowledge before joining. This course is a refresher of BHS standards in riding and care, and it does not serve to teach candidates from a beginners stage.
Whether you are horse owner or riding school customer you can start to prove your skills at a professional level. If candidates want to progress to BHS Stage 2 they will need to study and take the Silver Challenge award Ride Safe.
