On Site Hacking

on site hacking at rein and shine

We have on site hacking around our own fields , and  private access to the rear of our property allowing riding out to quiet lanes. We have a hard track though the main cross country field, which softens in winter, and lends itself well as a winter canter track for faster work to take place instead of fields (which can become too deep for such work.)

Viewing AreasRiding school Wiltshire

A covered viewing area and outdoor decking, where you can enjoy drinks and snacks, allows you as well as your friends and family to watch as well as take part in the sport.

Racewood Eventing Simulator simulator riding lessons

Our horse riding simulator is a rapid development tool, enabling riders to understand a picture of their riding. Learning to understand what specific pressures a rider is subjecting a real horse to – we have range of courses and lessons wich can be booked. Some riders can hold too tight with one hand and never be aware of this – or the effect it has on their horse. Other riders can be twisted in the pelvis – blocking their horse from moving correctly. Many riders can sit in a manner making themselves heavy to carry, knocking the horse off balance.  When riders become aware of how they are riding using scientific data – this supports raipid development, helping riders to improve more quickly.

Grazing

wiltshire livery at Rein and shine

Our 52 acres of grazing has a maintenance programme to ensure we can accommodate year round turn out. We are set in 92 acres of land and we use much of this for making our own hay, and our BE standard cross country schooling course. Through winter months our horses switch to hard turnout to enable them to get outside even during the wettest winters.
