FREE Opportunity for SEN Children to Take the Reins and Shine
Hoof Club CIC at Rein & Shine is offering a ‘Free Trial’ to schools with SEN (Special Educational Needs) children in order to demonstrate the benefits that Animal Assisted Therapy can have on a child’s overall quality of life.
This new SEN Equine Assisted Learning
facility, based just outside Swindon has already teamed up with a number of local SEN schools and we have seen, first-hand, the hugely positive effects that our horses’ are having on the lives of children with a number of physical and mental disabilities. We are so delighted with the life-changing results we have made the easy decision to open this service to more schools with children suffering from any of the hundreds of disabilities that we see in society today.
We offer schools new to Animal Assisted Therapy the opportunity to attend the centre for an hour, with select pupils if preferred, to spend time with our horses and even have a go at riding if they wish to.
If you are a school or SENDCO please contact us
now to enquire or book your schools free taster session.
To certify the positive changes that Animal Assisted Therapy is having, we have several documented case studies
which showcase how horse riding and horse care can provide beneficial therapy for SEN children.
The riding centre has been awarded the Accessibility Mark. This status is awarded to a riding centre that has been approved by RDA (Riding for the Disabled) following training and assessment. The close link with the RDA means that they offer continuous support to the establishment to ensure they provide you with a first class service and an experience that aims to be hugely beneficial. There are currently only 30 Accessibility Mark approved centres across the country.
