Open Day

Monday 12th August 2013

Open Day at Buryhill Livery and Rein & Shine riding centre

Thank you to everyone that attended the open day.

The day was very successful with clear round jumping, pony games, show jumping clinic with Johnathan Bowman, and rosette winners galore! The BBQ and drinks tent was very busy whilst face painting in the Hoof Club was enjoyed by the children. Our local MP, James Gray, said some very kind words especially as he is also the President of the Association of British Riding Schools. The Mayor of Swindon attended in all his regalia which greatly enhanced the presence of the occasion.

Our thanks go to the fire brigade and the animal rescue service who gave a very interesting demonstration of their capabilities, and thanks too, to the Wiltshire Horsewatch who also attended the event.

The Hoof Club pony has been named as Dusty! The lucky winner has won a free riding lesson and he will be coming to Rein and Shine soon.

The raffle club winners have been contacted, and if it wasn't you, then better luck next time.

The main stars of the show were the unseen helpers and volunteers who worked so hard to ensure the day went flawlessly, and our thanks go to them as well.

Our next event will be a clear round jumping session which will be announced shortly.

See you all soon . . .
