Visit and support from MP

Sunday 23rd June 2013

James Gray, MP for North Wiltshire has visited Rein and Shine, a brand new riding school and livery yard in Braydon, near Purton. He met with the owners, Jo Sharpe and John McDonald, who introduced him to the new facilities that are being built ready for opening in August. James said,

“'I am pleased to see a disused farm being rejuvenated, and the investment Jo and John are making has already created local employment and contracts for the local community. I am fully supportive of what Jo and John are trying to achieve, especially with the open and inclusive approach they are taking to introduce new people to riding as well as developing riding skills for horse owners and riders in the area. Their initiative for grass roots training on horse care, management and welfare is very encouraging for the 8 - 15 year olds they are targeting and I wish them every success in their venture. As President of the Association of British Riding Schools, I am very keen to help promote entrepreneurial new businesses like this one.”
