We offer student livery packages, yes. We realise that you may wish to bring your horse with you during term time to ride, but would prefer not to box the horse when you go home on term time holiday breaks. Or you may prefer to leave him with us and go home knowing he is being experty cared for. Our special student livery packages are desigend to be flexible to your needs. Call us on 01666 860068 or email us.
Feed plans for horses are vital to ensure each horse gets the optimum feed for its work regiime. We feed the horses daily, with a choice of standard or premium feed. You the owner in consultation with the yard manager will decide how much feed is administered, we just feed according to that plan to maintain a routine for your horse.
Supplements can be provided by you and we will also ensure these are administered as and when required.
Our feed room is therefore maintained at an optimum level and we can provide the very best of care for your horse.
This is a question we are often asked. DIY livery means horses are fed at different times to suit the owner, which is of course understandable. But with indoor American barn stables, it is very difficult to establish a good routine for all the horses so we choose to feed horses at the same time which avoids a DIY service causing the routines to be disturbed.
Also, we choose to do all grassland management in respect of grazing and poo picking. Our land is a huge asset to us, and we want the fields poo picked daily without fail, which for DIY customers is not always possible. Our worm egg count process is important and therefore poo picking every day without fail means healthier horses.
Yes. The livery yard offers high standards of service and facilities but aims to be flexible too. Full livery on a 7 day or 5 day basis is provided, and we also offer a flexible package where the livery yard will provide a morning or evening service and you do the opposite. That way you see your horse daily, at a time to suit you, as often as you want. Call the livery yard at Buryhill Farm, near Purton, Swindon, North wiltshire for more details on 01666 860068

We will only take a maximum of five riders at a time in the riding school. This is to create a value product but not diluting the tuition each candidate gets during the lesson.
Phone us or email us, and we will have a chat then book you in for an initial assessment session. We can discuss what you want from your lessons and if you have ridden before we can get an understanding of your level of riding and what you want to achieve. This will allow us to place you in the appropriate class, with the right types of horses conducive to your progression.
You are the customer - so tell us what you want from your riding
After each session an instructor will give feedback on how you are progressing and areas to work on or think about for your own improvement. Our instructors often come up with innovative ideas and help such as articles to read or exercises which can be practised at home. You will find it beneficial just coming along and watching others in their riding.
The Rein & Shine livery is only a few miles from Wootton Bassett and is well served by a network of bridleways ranging from a couple miles to long distance if required. Bridleway maps are available if required.
